California's coast is renowned for its whale watching opportunities, with numerous tours and charters available in prime locations known for their abundant whale populations. Monterey Bay, for instance, hosts a large population of humpback whales and is a top destination for whale watching tours. San Diego and Orange County offer year-round tours, providing the chance to see various whale species, including gray whales during their annual migration.
